Mississippi native John Barrett wrote and recorded Bass Drum of Death's self-titled sophomore album by himself. From its power chord drive to its garage rock immediacy to the smoke billowing out of his mouth on the cover, it offers a natural extension of his 2011 debut.

Two years after making their mark with the incendiary GB City, Bass Drum of Death return with more of the same.
